Several years ago I purchased a scooter for a handicap member of my family but was unable to purchase a carrier due to their high cost. This resulted in my having to disassemble the scooter in order to carry it in our car trunk or in the bed of my truck. And then assemble/disassemble the scooter everywhere we went. Since we have a heavy duty scooter, it has some very heavy parts to manipulate and becomes quite a task in the hot humid weather where we live. I have tried unsuccessfully to find a suitable carrier at a price I could afford. I wanted an electric auto lift carrier but the prices I found were way beyond my budget. I was almost ready to settle for whatever I could get when I found the EZ Carrier model EZL-1 18. Not only was it affordable but it is made in America, something that is extremely important to me. I added several options to my carrier and it was still almost a thousand dollars below the lowest price I had found to date. I have been using the EZL-1 18 for a couple of months and I am extremely happy with it. I admit that for the price, I was surprised at how well the carrier is constructed. It easily handles our 205 lb scooter. Thanks to EZ Carrier I am now able to take my Significant Other places which were either difficult or impossible before.
